OXFORD United's game against Swindon Town has now officially been postponed following an afternoon of confusion.
Speculation had been mounting since lunchtime that positive coronavirus cases in the Robins' camp would see the game postponed.
As of late this afternoon the U's were preparing as normal, following discussions between the EFL and the clubs.
But a statement from United tonight said: "This weekend’s Sky Bet League One fixture between Oxford United and Swindon Town has been suspended.
"The decision has been taken following a request from Swindon Town following the identification of a number of positive COVID-19 cases at the club and due to concerns raised over the potential risk of further infections.
"The circumstances surrounding the postponement will be the subject of an investigation in accordance with EFL Regulations."
