THERE was plenty of action on and off the pitch as Oxford United lost 3-1 at Sunderland in Sky Bet League One.
James Henry's precise finish put the U's ahead, but they were pegged back by Lynden Gooch's close-range effort in first-half stoppage-time.
Controversy took over after the restart, as Mark Sykes was sent off for a second booking and Aiden McGeady made it 2-1 with Cameron Brannagan yet to get to his feet following a break in play.
United boss Karl Robinson was sent off for his complaints over the incident and the visiting bench was further angered when Max Power ran 50 yards to celebrate in front of the dugouts after his late goal sealed victory.
