KARL Robinson has received his second FA charge over the flare-ups that marred Oxford United's Good Friday clash with Sunderland.

Tempers boiled over on several occasions during the Sky Bet League One fixture at the Stadium of Light, which the hosts won 3-1.

Players and staff clashed at half-time and full-time, with Robinson claiming goalkeeper Jack Stevens was headbutted in the tunnel during the interval.

The U's head coach was sent off by referee Trevor Kettle for his reaction to Sunderland's controversial second goal, earning him a one-match touchline ban that he served at Crewe Alexandra on April 10.

But Robinson and Sunderland assistant boss Jamie McAllister have today been charged with a breach of Rule E3 over alleged 'improper and/or violent conduct'.

This relates to the pair's alleged behaviour 'in or around the tunnel' at full-time and half-time respectively.

They have until Wednesday to respond.

Both clubs have also been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20 for allegedly failing to ensure that their 'players and/or club officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour in or around the tunnel at half-time and full-time'.

Robinson's touchline ban, and the £1,000 fine that came with it, was also after he was charged for breaching FA Rule E3, but for using 'abusive and/or insulting language' towards Kettle.
