THE sanctions handed to Oxford United and Sunderland for their fiery Good Friday fixture have been revealed by the FA.

Before the U's clash with Burton Albion today, it emerged that head coach Karl Robinson had been given a four-match touchline ban and fined £4,500 for his role in the flare-ups.

It meant he watched from the stands as United won 4-0 to book their place in the Sky Bet League One play-offs on the final day of the season.

The FA had charged Robinson with ‘improper and/or violent conduct’ in the tunnel area at full-time and today confirmed Robinson admitted improper conduct.

Meanwhile, the governing body's independent Regulatory Commission found the violent conduct element of the charge proven.

The other sanctions are as follows:

  • Sunderland assistant manager Jamie McAllister given a three-game stadium ban, followed by a three-match touchline ban, and fined £3,000 for breaching FA Rule E3. He denied his behaviour 'in or around the tunnel area at half-time amounted to improper and violent conduct' but it was proven by the Regulatory Commission.
  • United fined £7,000 for breaching FA Rule E20, after admitting they 'failed to ensure that their players and club officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and refrained from provocative behaviour in or around the tunnel area at half-time and full-time of the fixture'.
  • Sunderland denied the same charge, but were fined £6,250 after it was proven by the Regulatory Commission.
