OXFORD United will find out their opponents for the first stages of two cup competitions tomorrow.

The U's are already set to discover their Sky Bet League One schedule for 2021/22 when the English Football League (EFL) fixture lists are released at 9am.

Later in the day, United will also find out their Carabao Cup first round opponents and see which three teams they face in the Papa John's Trophy group stage.

The 48 League One and Two clubs have already been placed in pre-determined groups for the Papa John's Trophy, with the U's put with Cambridge United and Stevenage in Group H of the southern section.

They will be joined by one of the 16 Under 21 sides when the draw is made at 4.30pm, with all EFL clubs playing two of their three matches at their own ground.

If two teams meet in the group stages for a second successive season, then the one who was at home in 2020/21 will play away in 2021/22.

United beat Cambridge 1-0 on the way to last term's Papa John's Trophy semi-finals, Rob Hall's free-kick securing victory.

It will be split into northern and southern sections and includes Sheffield United, relegated from the Premier League last season, and newly-promoted Sutton United and Hartlepool United.

Clubs are allowed to rearrange the tie for between Saturday, July 31 and Wednesday, August 4, with the league season kicking-off on August 7.

United were beaten by Watford on penalties in the second round last term.
