JOHN Mousinho hopes Oxford United do not prove a bad omen for today’s Euro 2020 final.
The U’s travel down to Bournemouth for the start of their pre-season training camp, but come 8pm they will be cheering on England against Italy.
Mousinho is one of six United players who may feel a sense of deja vu, having watched the national team on a previous summer tour.
In 2018, the U’s were in Ireland when England lost to Croatia in the World Cup semi-final.

With Gareth Southgate’s side one step closer to glory this time, United’s captain hopes it will be a different story three years on.
He said: “I’m not entirely sure when we initially planned the trip we foresaw England being in the final, but we’ll get down there nice and early.
“We’ll get our training sessions out the way and watch it on the big screen.
“Maybe it doesn’t bode so well, but we did this three years ago when we were in Ireland.
“We watched the England-Croatia semi-final in our hotel.
“That was disappointing, but hopefully we can bring the team a bit of luck this time.”
