THAME United's Emirates FA Cup journey is over for another season after Jake Embery again proved their nemesis.

The Margate striker had headed a late equaliser as Saturday's first qualifying round tie ended 2-2 in Kent.

Embery was again the difference in last night's replay, scoring a hat-trick to secure a 4-2 victory and progression to the next stage.

Thame had so nearly pulled off a shock against the Isthmian League Premier Division side at the weekend and would have fancied their chances at the ASM Stadium.

The game burst into life with three goals in eight first-half minutes, starting with Embery's 17th-minute opener.

Greg Hackett quickly rifled an equaliser into the net, but Lewis Knight restored the lead 120 seconds later.

Embery produced a moment of magic just before the break, scoring from 40 yards to make it 3-1.

And seven minutes after the restart he had his hat-trick, collecting a flick and firing home from inside the penalty area.

Ryan Blake scored a late consolation, but Thame bravely bowed out.

Oxford City and Banbury United are the county's only representatives in the second qualifying round, with Oxford United entering at the first round proper.
