NORTH Leigh thrashed Hertford Town 4-0 to return to the top of Pitching In Southern League Division 1 Central.
Jordan Alves scored in each half, with Ben Brown and Aaron McCreadie completing the rout.
At the other end of the table, Wantage Town secured a crucial 2-1 win at fellow strugglers Colney Heath.
Tyriqe Hunte and Shaquille Ishmael each scored their first goals for the club to move the Alfredians off the bottom, with their opponents taking their place.
Meanwhile, David Pearce had a debut to remember as he struck both goals in 13th-placed Thame United’s 2-0 victory over St Neots Town.
Didcot Town lost 4-0 at home to Biggleswade, while Kidlington drew 0-0 with Harlow Town.
