OXFORD United Women continued their remarkable home form with a 3-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle.

Goals from Rachel Panting, Riva Casley and top-scorer Beth Lumsden made it seven wins out of seven for the U’s at Court Place Farm this season.

Liam Gilbert’s side climb two places to third in FA Women’s National League Southern Premier, with the teams who started the day above them not in action.

United were on top from the start and Panting shot wide early on, before breaking the deadlock after 21 minutes.

The Argyle keeper saved from Lumsden following Hannah Mackenzie’s cross, but the ball came out to the forward to score from the edge of the box.

The U’s continue to look dangerous and they had a second two minutes before the break.

Mackenzie was involved again, heading a corner against the post, with Casley dispatching the rebound.

Argyle roused themselves early in the second half, only for Lumsden to seal victory in style three minutes before the hour mark.

It was an excellent solo goal from the former Charlton Athletic player, who dribbled through the Plymouth defence and scored from inside the penalty area.

Gilbert made all three changes with the points secured, although there was still time for Panting to shoot against the crossbar five minutes from time.

It extended United's unbeaten run to five matches.
