OXFORD United’s Championship home matches are selling out with more than 11,400 visitors travelling to the stadium, writes the Oxford United Supporters’ Panel.
This volume of support, along with roadworks on Grenoble Road, has resulted in some difficulties finding car parking spaces or fans having to travel earlier.

OUSP’s Andy Holding has been looking into ways to reduce car travel and makes some suggestions below.
Try a football special bus. Each way fares are currently £2 thanks to funding of bus travel. There are now five routes: the OX2 bus from Didcot via Abingdon; the OX3 bus from Carterton via Eynsham and Botley; the OX5 bus from Bicester; the OX7 from Kidlington via Summertown, Marston, Headington and Cowley, and the OX8 from Thame via Thornhill Park and Ride.

The Oxford United Carpool Group on Facebook has helped like-minded fans travel to/from home and away matches together, reducing the number of single occupancy vehicles travelling to the stadium.
Further information about this group can be found on the link: facebook.com/groups/422093463951171 or simply search on Facebook for Oxford United Carpool Group.
If the stadium car park is full, or if you want to travel into Oxford city after the match, then it could be worth parking at Redbridge or Thornhill Park and Ride.
The Park and Rides cost £2.50 for up to 16 hours of parking and it is free for blue badge holders.
001 Taxis estimate fares from Redbridge Park and Ride to the Kassam as starting from £7.80 for a standard vehicle or £12 for an eight-seater, and from Thornhill, the estimates start at £12.80, however Thornhill is also a stop on the OX8 football special bus, so check the timetable.
Please note the estimated fares could fluctuate, especially if traffic is heavy. However, you can benefit from a special discount which 001 Taxis have agreed for U’s fans who use their app.
Use the code OUFC001 for a 10 per cent discount on bookings made via their app. (Note that you will need to create a profile, and a bank card must be registered as the default payment method). For more information see 001taxis.com/taxi-booking-app
Blue Badge spaces at the Kassam Stadium are free and are first come, first served. Like most spaces, they tend to be taken by about 90 minutes before kick-off.
Note that the spaces previously available at the south-east corner are now taken up by broadcast/ catering vehicles.
Replacement spaces have been set aside in the east car park and traffic marshals will direct you if you show your blue badge.
