MARK Harris has missed out on the double scoop of the Sky Bet Championship player and goal of the month awards.
The 25-year-old striker has already been named the player of the month for August, but has been pipped to the goal of the month award.
Harris was nominated for his wonder strike at Blackburn Rovers, which saw Matt Phillips chest down Jamie Cumming’s long ball forward into his path, with Harris pinging a sweetly struck 35-yard first-time volley which looped over Aynsley Pears in the Rovers goal.

Supporters were able to vote via the EFL website, with those votes combined with the choices from a panel.
The winner after that process has been revealed as Rovers’ Andreas Weimann, who netted with a similar strike to Harris’, crashing a looped effort from distance in the East Lancashire derby at Burnley.
Lead judge Don Goodman, the former West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland striker, said: “You would always back a long-range volley to win goal of the month but there was some serious competition in August.
“Weimann’s goal edged it for me because of the extremely difficult technique he showed to not only catch the volley first-time, but also cut across it and guide it into the far corner.”
Also in the running for the award were Vakoun Bayo’s acrobatic half-volley for Watford against Derby County and a strike from George Tanner for Bristol City against Coventry City.
