Wallingford took a large step towards clinching the title by thrashing nearest rivals Thame Town 2nd on a day when no other side in the top half of the table took the field.

Trevor Spindler was again their bowling hero, bagging 8-40 as Thame were bowled out for only 110 after being asked to bat first.

His figures were the third best return by a Wallingford bowler in the league.

Victory was then assured by James Barrett (52no) and Lee Ainsworth (40no).

Kabir Arif's classy 124 set Wolverton Town 2nd on their way to an impressive 178 run win at home to Long Marston 2nd.

Arif's knock together with Charlie Maw's 31 allowed Town to declare after 50 overs on 243-7.

Matthew Wareham was easily the pick of the Marston attack, taking 4-50.

Glen Dickinson then bowled even better, taking 6-13 as the visitors were rumbled for a mere 65.
