Aston Rowant 2nd ensured a top-two finish in Division 5, and therefore likely promotion, after beating Bicester & North Oxford 2nd by 41 runs.

David Ridgley (56), Leigh Lewis (47), and Mark Walker (42) all batted well in Rowant's 215-5, in which Andrew Wingfield Digby took 3-46.

Wingfield Digby then top-scored with 46 in Bicester's reply, but Tom Needham took 6-42 and Tim Foster 4-38 as they were all out for 174.

Rowant will fight out the title with leaders Great Brickhill, who maintained their 21-point lead at the top with a six-wicket victory over Brackley.

A defiant 54 by Richard Cook was the sole consolation for the visitors, who were bowled out for 162 by Ross Brown (6-61) and George Frankland (4-51).

Losing three early wickets did not deter Av Gupta (65no) and Chris Day (33no), who took Nondies to 164-3.

Joe Harris claimed 5-25 as Abingdon Vale 2nd bowled out Leighton Buzzard Town 2nd for 203.

Tarunn Mistry hit 68 and Mickey Parker 52 for Buzzard, who then had Vale in trouble in reply. But James Alden's 57 set them up for a one-wicket win, which came in the 55th over of their reply.
