Aston Rowant 2nd squeaked past Abingdon Vale 2nd by one wicket to stay in Division 5 title contention.

Chris Eaton took 6-45 for Rowant, but a determined 54 by Vale skipper Dave Ward took his side to a competitive 166 all out.

Richard Morgan and Joe Harris both claimed 3-35 as Vale had Rowant on the ropes, but Mark Walker's 69 and a resolute tail took the visitors to 167-9.

Great Brickhill stay 21 points clear at the top after making light work of Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd.

Only Aviral Gupta (41) got to grips with the Brickhill bowlers, of whom Lee Morgan took 5-31, as Nondies struggled to 126 all out.

Shannon Tubb then hit 41 in the home side's 129-3.

Didcot finally secured their first win of the season, but will need a miracle to avoid the drop as they face the top two in their remaining fixtures.

Prasad Kankadandi (52) helped them reach 199-6 from their 52 overs, then Matt Jones took 6-47 as Leighton Buzzard Town 2nd were rolled over for 148.

Bicester & North Oxford 2nd beat Banbury 3rd by two runs in a thrilling finish.

Mark Fitzsimons (66) and Rob Humphreys (52) helped Bicester to 221-4, which did not look enough while Alistair Jarvis (107) and Paul Cutler (66) were batting.

But Richard Simpson took 5-28 and Banbury fell agonisingly short on 219.

Great & Little Tew 2nd claimed Brackley were only interested in a draw once Tew had declared on 248-4.

Tim Young hit 108 and Andy Darby 54 for the hosts, then Sam Catling took 5-46 to leave Brackley hanging on at 143-6 from 57 overs, with Dave Barnes 53 not out.
