Mike Wedderburn took 6-59, but his Banbury Twenty 2nd side were unable to force the win at home to strugglers Chearsley that would have propelled them to the top of the Division 4 table.

Alan Foster hit 39 in Twenty's 221-9, while Marcus Hignell took 4-81 and Nick Babington 4-48.

Adam Lazaruk then hit 56 for the visitors, who closed on 180-7.

Nigel Hume (57) and Roger Podbery (44) batted well as Challow reached 205-9, but they were outshone by Luke List, who hit 104 not out, and Steve Roberts, who followed up his 4-65 by scoring 64 with the bat.

Earlier Paul Maddock (114no) hit his third ton of the season and second century in consecutive weeks in Stokenchurch's 241-5, which also featured 42 from Karl Penhale.

Twyford stay top despite coming up short in their run chase at Princes Risborough.

Adam Morton (112no) was the mainstay of Risborough's innings, which ended with the score on 228-9.

Jack Dill and Sam Lyon both hit 38 and Ben Elkington 44 not out, but Twyford could manage only 221-7.
