Challow & Childrey recovered from 87-6 after 25 overs to reach 251-9 in Division 5 thanks to a terrific ton by Nigel Hill (113no), who added 131 for the seventh wicket with Neil Phillips (31).

Joe White took 5-68 in an impressive 22-over spell for Banbury 3rd, who came close to forcing a win thanks to Julian Briggs' 72, but were then left hanging on at 235-9.

The reliable Trevor Spindler took 6-60 for Wallingford, but they had to settle for a draw at Great & Little Tew 2nd.

Tew's 214-8 owed much to Steve Wilson's unbeaten 49. It proved more than enough despite Mark Bowman's 42 and Will Emmett's 53 not out, as the visitors closed on 152-5.

Dave Ward (58) and Mukesh Shori (57no) helped Abingdon Vale 2nd reach 195 all out at Bledlow Ridge 2nd, Richard Dryden taking 5-72 and Mark Dakin 4-73.

Phil Brooks (45) laid the platform for the home side's reply, then Dryden (53no) finished it off with three wickets in hand.

Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd lost by two wickets at Leighton Buzzard Town 2nd.

Chris Day (72) and Andy Haines (53) were the mainstays of Nondies' 221 all out, which was almost enough thanks to Sam White (3-34) and Graham Frankland (3-53).

But Town scraped home.

Bicester & North Oxford 2nd regretted asking Chearsley to bat first as their hosts crashed 254-4, of which Neil Davies scored exactly 100 and James Veness 49.

The visitors' weary batsmen could manage only 167 all out in reply, with Rob Humphreys making 45.
