Paddy Stern hit an unbeaten 147 and Jehan Mohammad 40 as Oxford 3rd pulled off a remarkable run chase to beat the morning leaders in Division 5. Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd.

Earlier Jason Constable had smashed 96 in typically ebullient style as Shipton scored 250-8 after being put into bat.

But Stern then took Oxford to an unlikely five-wicket win.

Faisal Khalid scored 42 and took 4-58 as Banbury Twenty 2nd beat Aston Rowant 2nd to go top for the first time this season.

Former Bicester Town FC manager Barry Grant (65) also batted well in Twenty's 220-6, before Rowant fell for 177 despite Tim Bailey's 44.

Banbury XX 2nd 30, Aston Rowant 2nd 13 Stanton St John Willows finally had something to celebrate after they beat Bourton Vale by 12 runs to secure their first win of the season.

Simon Dickens hit 75 and Paul Close took 4-42 in Willows' 206 all out, and although Matt Walton (51) and Rob Langley (80) kept Vale in the hunt, Seb Warner took 4-21 as they were dismissed for 194.

Thame Town 2nd replaced Willows at the bottom after a losing draw with Banbury 3rd.

John Best's 72 helped Banbury to 257-5, in which Chris Penny took 4-60.

Thame were never in the hunt, but Dom Medcalfe's 44 at least helped them avoid defeat on 169-7.

Ed Oakley took 5-50 as Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd gave themselves a chance of victory at Leighton Buzzard Town 2nd.

Town were bowled out for 174 as only Kirk Brazier (59) got going, but Nondies then crashed to 77 all out.
