Aston Rowant 2nd came within one wicket of beating Banbury 3rd, but their failure to capture it meant they were knocked off the top of the table in Division 5.

Andrew Proctor took 7-75 as Banbury restricted their visitors to 187-9, Mark Walker hitting 40 and Thad Cooper 39.

Lee Anning then took 5-29 but Banbury clung on for a draw on 135-9. The home side were docked one point for their slow over rate.

The new leaders are Great Brickhill, who hammered Bicester & North Oxford 2nd by 211 runs.

Shannon Tubb (118) hit his third ton in as many weeks as the home side amassed 275 all out, Steve Conway being the pick of the bowlers with 5-51.

Lee Morgan then took 6-12 from eight overs as Bicester crumbled from 40-2 to 64 all out.

Veteran seamer Robin Newman bagged his umpteenth five-wicket haul as Abingdon Vale 2nd swept aside Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd with ease.

Newman took 5-40 from 19 overs as Nondies' batsmen were all soon back in the hutch after being bowled out for 96.

Michael Howe-Davies then hit 63 as Vale cruised to 100-2.

Didcot's Matt Jones (4-59) bowled superbly as Great & Little Tew 2nd fell to 16-4.

A solid 60 by Rob Wilson-Fry steadied the ship before Steve Murrey thrashed 52 to take Tew to 156-7 from 42 overs in a match reduced to a total of 81 overs.

Steve Pritchard (37) kept Didcot well in the hunt but Mikey Darby's 4-28 held them back and as the match ebbed and flowed, neither side could force the win, the visitors closing on 147-9.

Keith Cartwright took 5-20 as Brackley beat Leighton Buzzard Town 2nd by just two runs in a tense finale.

Put in to bat, Brackley had been bowled out for a meagre 102 by Chris Thompson (5-19) and Tom Gibbs (4-31).

Town were then all out for 100 despite Thompson's brave 27.
