BENJAMIN Cumberland impressed during the first round of the Chiltern League at Horspath.

The Radley youngster finished second in the under 15 boys race and was the first Division 2 runner home.

Clubmate Rachel Burton was third in the combined under 17/20 women’s race.

She finished as the top under 17 and Division 2 athlete.

Abingdon’s Katherine Harris and Anya Bromley were 25th and 40th respectively.

In the men’s event, Radley’s Alex Miell-Ingram was the eighth under 20, when crossing 35th overall in the senior race.

Paul Hughes, of Abingdon, came home 42nd.

In the under 17 event, Abingdon duo Elias Lawton and Tom Lavender finished 25th and 51st respectively.

Radley’s Quinn Miell-Ingram was fifth in the under 13 race.

White Horse Harrier Iestyn Berry crossed 26th and Abingdon’s Seb Lawton 27th.

Abingdon’s Beth Darwent finished 26th in the under 15 girls competition.
