EAST & West Hendred were knocked off the top of OCA League Division 1 as Vijay Pamu ran riot for hosts Oxenford.

The opening batsman smashed 121 not out as the visitors’ 217-9 was overhauled for the loss of only one wicket.

Mark Baring had struck 69 in Hendred’s innings.

Clifton Hampden defeated high-flying Westcott by 43 runs in Division 2.

Richard Beard’s 52 helped Clifton to 158-8 and in reply, only Mark Strong (41no) got going as visitors Westcott were dismissed for 115, Julian Hitchman claiming 4-24.

Colin Mercer’s unbeaten century guided Wantage to a 118-run win at home to Broughton & North Newington.

Mercer’s 106 not out and an unbeaten 55 from Richard Chapman saw Wantage set 246-5.

Three wickets apiece for Will Harvey, Oliver Haine and Steve Pritchard ensured Broughton fell to 128 all out.

Watlington were thumped by 121 runs against Stanton Harcourt in Division 3.

Joel Graham (57) led the way in Stanton’s 231-7, and then Matt Waite (4-16) and Ryan Wastie (3-16) combined to dismiss the home side for 110.

Dorchester were thrashed by eight wickets at home to Division 4 leaders Brill.

Dorchester were restricted to 168-9 in their 45 overs, before Harry Wilson (80) then led the way in Brill’s 172-2.

Sunningwell defeated hosts Deddington by 28 runs.

Tom Harris (37) and Sam Baker (35) helped Sunningwell to 173 all out, which proved enough as Deddington were dismissed 145.

Uffington went down by 122 runs against visitors Bampton.

James Bray struck 111 in Bampton’s 239-4 and an outstanding haul of 6-7 in eight overs from Russell King skittled Uffington for 117.

Marcham eased past hosts Swinbrook by five wickets.

Youngster Ethan Davie was the pick of the Marcham attack with 4-21 as Swinbrook were all out for 152.

Thomas Mooring’s unbeaten 80 led Marcham to 155-5.

Kennington’s Dennis Fellows took 4-9 in Division 5 to help skittle Horwood for 95, and then Graham Rowley (42no) in the successful run chase.

East & West Hendred 2nd were edged out by four runs against Kidlington 2nd in a high-scoring thriller in Division 6.

Andy Oliver smashed 115 not out as Kidlington reached 258-6.

Liam Richards hit 88 and Ian Clewley 70 in reply, but the home side closed on 254-7.

Shrivenham saw off visitors Charlbury 2nd by 27 runs.

Steve Bowles (88) and Scott Winskill (53) led Shrivenham to 252-9 and despite Andy Glass’s 94 not out, Charlbury’s reply finished on 225-5.

Hailey & West Witney saw off visitors Steventon by 33 runs in Division 5.

Batting first, Hailey set 185 all out, Chris Thompson hitting 70 not out and Glen Willett taking 4-5.

Nigel Walker then claimed 4-27 as Steventon fell to 152 all out in reply.

Division 8 South leaders Letcombe were too strong for hosts Sunningwell 2nd as they eased to a seven-wicket win.

Jerry May took 3-27 as Sunningwell were bowled out for 84, before former Sunningwell player Robin Himpson (30) led Letcombe to 86-3.

Chris Rudling struck 129 and Mike Ottrey 70 to help Dorchester 2nd to 278-4 at Marcham 2nd in Division 8 South.

Marcham were dismissed for 113, Ian Ferris taking 3-3.

Steventon 2nd’s Rushikesh Deshmukh took 6-11 as Steventon 2nd edged a low-scoring clash with visitors Watlington 2nd by 16 runs.

Steventon had been shot out for only 78, but Deshmukh’s haul sent Watlington tumbling to 71 all out in reply.
