EAST & West Hendred fell further behind Division 1 leaders Charlbury after losing their crunch top-of-the-table clash by 32 runs.

Ian Johnston starred for the hosts, scoring 39 in Charlbury’s 168 all out, Mark Baring taking 4-34 in the OCA League clash.

Johnston then claimed 5-31 in 12 overs as Hendred were bowled out for 136.

Faringdon eased past hosts Great Horwood by 107 runs.

Rob Brown (76) and Rob Owen (60) helped Faringdon set 266-7 in their 45 overs.

Great Horwood never got close, finishing on 159-7.

Clifton Hampden brushed aside visitors Chipping Norton by eight wickets in Division 2.

Darren Clark (4-27) and Julian Hitchman (3-22) combined to dismiss Chippy for 106, before Matthew Burton hit 44 not out and Morley Benson 37 not out to lead Clifton to 110-2.

Wantage beat visitors Westcott by seven wickets.

Batting first, Westcott were restricted to 178-8, before Barry Martin hit 91 not out and Ian Challand 39 not out in Wantage’s 179-3.

Chadlington saw off hosts Wootton & Boars Hill by five wickets.

They dismissed Wootton for 142, Jack Ulyatt top-scoring with 39 not out.

James Stoddart then hit 45 not out and Mark Lambert 35 in Chadlington’s 145-5.

Watlington stayed in touch near the top of Division 3, beating visitors Kilkenny by 61 runs in a low-scoring clash.

Darren Gordon (4-32) and Chris May (3-8) combined to help bowl Watlington out for 120, only for Kilkenny to then crash to 59 all out as Rama Garimella finished with 4-12.

In Division 4, Marcham lost by 79 runs to Brill.

Harry Wilson (63) helped Brill to 171 all out, Andrew Chalmers taking 4-49.

Andy Wynd then claimed 6-12 as Marcham were dismissed for 92.

Dorchester fell to an eight-wicket defeat against Deddington as Ramesh Chennagiri took extraordinary figures of 7-8 in 11.2 overs.

There were six ducks in Dorchester’s 69 all out as Chennagiri ran riot.

Gerard Duncan (39no) then ensured Deddington eased home with few alarms.

West Ilsley eased past hosts Uffington by seven wickets.

They bowled Uffington out for 121, Patrick MacKenzie-Charrington taking 4-52.

Dan Simmons (47) then shone with the bat to help West Ilsley to 122-3.

Steventon suffered a 225-run loss at Ducklington in Division 5.

Ducklington racked up a formidable total of 271-8, Liam Day starring with 81 and Mithun Sortur taking 5-49.

Kane Lewis took 6-15 and George Townsend 4-28 as sorry Steventon were skittled out for 46 in reply.

Radley fell to a four-wicket defeat at home to Hook Norton.

Adam Bennett claimed 5-23 in Radley’s 90-9 in 45 overs.

Hooky lost regular wickets in their reply, but reached 94-6 to secure victory.

Kennington 2nd lost by two wickets against Wolvercote 2nd.

Graham Rowley scored 57 as Kennington set 183-8.

Tohsif Manzoor then struck 42 in Wolvercote’s reply, leading them to 184-8.

Division 6 leaders Shrivenham had a comfortable seven-wicket win at home to Kidlington 2nd.

Batting first, Kidlington were bowled out for 145, Manoj Perera taking 4-32 and Andy Oliver top-scoring with 42.

Martin Hammond (49), Josh Kirk (40no) and Perera (40) led Shrivenham home at 147-3.

Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd racked up 250-6 to beat hosts East & West Hendred 2nd by 66 runs.

Ruban Gill top-scored with 49 and Aled Newton struck 41 for Wootton, who then dismissed Hendred for 184 as Mick Wiskin took 4-41.

A fine 63 from Hamid Abdul helped Tetsworth 2nd to a seven-wicket win at Faringdon 2nd.

In Division 8 South, Chalgrove were too strong for visitors Kennington 2nd as they won by nine wickets.

Richard Murphy (5-11) and Heath Cooper (3-26) combined to dismiss Kennington for 61, before James Little (39no) led Chalgrove home at 63-1.

Leaders Dorchester 2nd beat visitors Letcombe by five wickets.

Letcombe set 185-5, Alex Simms hitting 43 and Dan Jacobs 41.

Will Anastasiadis then hit 78 not out and Rory Andrews 58 to steer Dorchester home at 186-5.

Steventon 2nd produced some tidy bowling to reduce visitors Marcham to 85 all out.

Joe Bennett was the pick of the Steventon attack with 4-21.

Dave Webb then hit 41 as Steventon eased home at 86-3.
