ANDY Whing’s first league fixture as Banbury United boss will be a visit to Royston Town tomorrow.

The former Oxford United midfielder has had four months to mould his side due to the delayed start to the BetVictor Southern League Premier Central campaign.

He will hope to pick up where his new charges left off under former boss Mike Ford before the 2019/20 season was expunged due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Puritans had won their last three matches and sat just one point outside the play-offs.

Like Banbury, both North Leigh and Thame United had hoped to make a late bid for last season’s top five in Division 1 Central.

The Millers visit Berkhamsted, who led the table in March, while Thame host Bedford Town.

Wantage Town, rock-bottom when the season was halted, will look to get off to a winning start at home to Welwyn Garden City.

Didcot Town are also at home, with Kempston Rovers the visitors, while Kidlington travel to Daventry Town.

In the FA Vase, Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division rivals Ardley United and Easington Sports clash at the Nolan Oils Ground in the first qualifying round.

Shrivenham host Camberley Town, while Clanfield 85 entertain Tuffley Rovers.

Abingdon Town and Abingdon United are at home to Thornbury Town and Shortwood United respectively, with Wallingford Town visiting Tadley Calleva.

Milton United, Kidlington Reserves and Thame Rangers are all at home, against AFC Aldermaston, Langley and Milton Keynes Irish respectively.
