CHINNOR have rung the changes following their shock 35-20 defeat by London Irish Wild Geese.

The result knocked Chinnor of the top of National League Division 2 South and it will be stronger side that takes the trip to third-placed Redingensians tomorrow.

“We lost because our spine did not lead the team correctly,” said director of rugby Matt Williams, who is expecting a reaction to that defeat.

Among the players recalled are what Williams describes as his ‘go-to’ players – centre Orisi Nawakaliva, fly half Jonny Bentley, prop Jack Gilding and No 8 Will Ryan.

“For the first time since our victory at Cinderford, we have what I feel is out strongest line-up,” said Williams.

“This is a huge game. Win it and we create a big gap between us and the third-placed club. Lose it and we are in a three-horse race for the title.”

Henley Hawks are once again forced to make changes to the front row, when they host Tonbridge Juddians

Brad Cook was injured during last week’s defeat by new leaders Cinderford game so Kieran Ball will start at loose head, while the fit-again Joe Morris comes in at tight head in place of George Primett.

Behind the scrum, Alan Awcock moves from fly half to full back, while Joe Butler returns to partner George Jackson at half back.

Michael Ojo returns to lock for Oxford Harlequins, who entertain Salisbury in South West 1 East.

Matt White switches to flanker, while Jack Wiggins steps up to fly half and Martin Nutt comes in at centre.

Ben Fisk has been ruled out with a hamstring injury as Witney travel to Royal Wootton Bassett looking for their first double of the season.

Arron Lambourne switches to the wing, with Phil Thomas taking over at full back.

Returning from long-term injuries, Matt Clarke replaces Dave Hankinson while Henry Lamb gets a berth on the bench.

Grove welcome back hooker Steve Dixey, after a month out with injury, for their match at home to second-placed Banbury.

Flanker Jack Horrocks also comes back into the side, while Joe Chilvers moves to scrum half, allowing Luke Matthews to switch to full back, where he replaces the injured James Monks.
