ENGLAND'S rugby players graced the artifical surface at Horspath Sports Ground yesterday.

International stars Elliot Daly, Ben Youngs, Jack Nowell, Kyle Sinckler, Jamie George and Ellis Genge visited Oxford Harlequins for a film shoot with O2.

It may not have been the only place in the city the country's top rugby players would have been spotted.

Eddie Jones' side are training at St Edward's School this week in preparation for their Six Nations clash at home to Italy on Saturday.

The players conducted interviews with former Harlequins and England star Ugo Monye at Horspath.

Oxford Harlequins facilities manager James Knox said: "It was really nice to have the players.

"They were absolutely wonderful, really friendly and accommodating."

Monye even left a message of support to the club.

He said: "All the best of luck to all the teams – the firsts, seconds, under 18s and right throughout the age grades.

"Enjoy your rugby especially as the sun is shining. Good luck for the rest of the season."

Quins moved to Horspath Sports Ground from Marston Ferry Road last summer.

The site is home to an £800,000 Rugby Football Union-funded artificial grass pitch available for all rugby teams in Oxfordshire to use.

As the host, Quins receive 12 hours free use of the community asset at peak time.
