HENLEY Hawks remain in the National League 2 South promotion race after brushing aside London Irish Wild Geese 52-0 at home.

But they still trail second-placed Canterbury, who occupy the only play-off spot by six points with three games remaining.

Henley laboured to a 14-0 lead at the break, Sam Lunnon and Ian Stock crossing.

The second half was a one-sided affair with Hawks running in six tries.

Wild Geese were also not helped by having two players in the sin bin, which resulted in uncontested scrums.

Liam O’Neill (2), Dan Barnes, Xavier Andre, Scott White and Ryan O’Neill crossed.

Barnes enjoyed a good day from the tee, converting six of the eight tries.

But Chinnor went onto lead 22-7 after 25 minutes as Oscar Heath, Joe Dancer and Craig Holland went over.
