CHINNOR have further bolstered their front row for next season with the signing of Jersey Reds hooker Nick Selway.

The 29-year-old will leave the Greene King IPA Championship club as their longest serving player.

Selway, a former tighthead prop who was converted to hooker in 2015, has made more than 120 appearances for Jersey.

He is the third front row player signed for the 2019/20 season following the arrivals of Joe Rees and Camilo Parilli-Ocampo last month.

Chinnor director of rugby Matt Williams is delighted to secure the services of former Lydney and Cinderford player Selway.

He said: “With Nick sandwiched between the sizeable additions of Camilo and Joe Rees we have the opportunity to create an absolute terrifying set piece weapon.

“I’ve been hugely impressed with Nick’s attitude and he will add a level of mental toughness and edge we have been missing on occasions this season.

“Nick will be a great character in the changing room and I’m very excited to see him in Chinnor colours.

“We will also need to reinforce the changing room bench for the front row.”
