CHINNOR have bolstered their backline with the additions of Jason Worrall and Sam Yawayawa.

The Thame-based side, who begin their National League 1 campaign on September 7 at Blackheath, announced the double signing last night.

Former South African Under 20 international Worrall, 25, joins from Greene King IPA Championship side Jersey Reds, where he scored 11 tries in 33 games over two seasons.

The full-back said: “It is an honour to be part of Chinnor for the up and coming season and I’m hoping to contribute to the ambitions and goals of this exciting squad.”

Fijian-born Yawayawa, 22, joins from National League 1 counterparts Cambridge, having also spent time on loan at Nottingham while part of the Leicester Tigers academy.

The winger, who has represented Scotland Under 20s, said: “When I played against Chinnor last season I really liked their style of rugby and having spoken to friends at the club it was obvious their culture was something I wanted to be part of.”
