OXFORD Harlequins and Banbury opened their South West 1 East campaigns with bonus-point victories.

Quins won 41-32 at Old Patesians, while the Bulls smashed Windsor 60-15.

The former had to do it the hard way, after trailing 20-7 at half-time.

Toni Turetta converted his own try in the first half, but Old Patesians scored two tries in the opening three minutes after the interval to move 25 points clear.

Quins then staged an impressive comeback, running in six tries.

Toby Butler, Freddie Myatt, Turetta, Martin Nutt, Toby Butler, Jack Todd all crossed, while Turetta kicked two conversions.

Dan Brady was the star for Banbury, running in four of their ten tries despite only coming on at half-time.

Ed Berridge, Justin Parker and James Leonardi touched down as the hosts took a 15-8 lead by the break.

But Brady ensured it was near one-way traffic in a dazzling second half, where Duncan Leese (2) and Jack Briggs also scored.
