BANBURY Bulls recorded a second successive big victory with an emphatic 68-21 win over Buckingham.

A hat-trick of tries from Ian Isham made it 128 points in their opening two South West 1 East matches.

Despite trailing to an early Buckingham score, Banbury fought back and went into half-time 35-7 ahead with Isham (2), Chris Davies, Tommy Gray and Ben George scoring tries.

Duncan Leese added three conversions and Gray two.

Yellow cards for Dan Kirwin and Callum Horne put Banbury on the back foot early in the second half, Buckingham making the most of the advantage to close to 35-21.

But that was as near as they got, with Jack Briggs, Kirwin, James Jennings and Matt Goode all going over.

Isham put the icing on the cake in injury time when he completed his hat-trick, Leese converting to make it four more successful kicks after the break.

Oxford Harlequins also made it two wins from two with a 45-24 triumph at Windsor.

There was little between the teams at

half-time, Quins leading 19-17 thanks to tries from Martin Nutt (2) and Tony Turetta, with Rory Garrett converting twice.

The visitors stepped up a gear after the break, Nutt completing his hat-trick, Freddie Myatt (2) and Turetta all scoring tries, Garrett converting twice.
