MATT Williams wants to see more consistency as Chinnor bid to bounce back at home to Bishops Stortford tomorrow.

A last-minute try denied the side victory at Rams last weekend as they were forced to settle for just a losing bonus-point, going down 27-21.

It means the Thame-based side finished the first month of the season with ten points from a possible 20 in National League 1.

While Williams is not pleased with the total, he is enthused by what he has seen.

Chinnor’s director of rugby said: “Every game we have played really well for a 30-minute block and we’ve got to turn that into 60 minutes.

“No-one plays well for 80 minutes, if they say they do they’re lying.

“What we’ve got to understand now is that when we’re in front and in front well, we need to put our foot on the throat."

He added: “We’ve played some of the best rugby I’ve seen here, but it’s in small patches and we’ve got to now build that into more consistency throughout the game.”

Scrum half Callum Watson returns, while centre Pete Laverick, who is dual-registered with Exeter Chiefs, could make his debut.

Flanker Ofisa Treviranus is being assessed for concussion, while lock Joe Dancer (elbow) is sidelined.

Henley Hawks are also looking to return to winning ways when they host Worthing Raiders in National 2 South.

Last weekend’s 25-17 loss at Taunton was Henley’s first defeat of the season after opening with three emphatic victories.

Dave Hyde returns to the second row to partner captain Jake Albon, while Samir Kharbouch makes his first start in the centre and Reuben Norville will play on the wing.

In South West 1 East, Oxford Harlequins will aim to kick on from last weekend’s 48-32 victory at Salisbury when they host Sherborne.

Three changes to the home side’s pack sees Jack Hopkins, Adam Broadbent and Matt White all come in, while Toby Butler starts at fly half.

Witney also make changes as they bid to make it four wins from four in Southern Counties North at home to High Wycombe, who also boast a 100 per cent record.

Scott Mortimer comes into the second row, while Rhys Morgan, Callum Godfrey and Jake Thomas all return to the backline.

Another side seeking to maintain their perfect start to the season are Grove, who host Walcot in Southern Counties South.

Top scorer Guy Nicholl joins Ben Law and Luke Matthews in returning to the starting line-up, as does Kieran Lambourn, who scored two tries in last weekend’s 20-13 win at Frome.
