OXFORD Harlequins are out for revenge as they travel to Banbury Bulls with a place in the final of the Oxfordshire Cup on the line.

The visitors went down 12-11 to tomorrow’s opponents last weekend, with Storm Dennis playing a crucial part in the South West 1 East clash.

High winds held up Dan Todd’s conversion that would have put the hosts 13-12 up and make up crucial ground on third-placed Banbury.

But the visitors held on to claim a triumph that extended their advantage over Quins, in fourth, to ten points.

The away side make two changes for the semi-final, with Matt White and Richard Thomas coming in at No 8 and centre respectively.

The winners will face Oxford University Greyhounds or Chinnor Falcons, who play their last-four clash at Iffley Road on Wednesday.

Many of Oxfordshire’s clubs are without a game this weekend, but Witney will bid to move one step closer to Twickenham tomorrow.

The Oxfordshire side travel to Swindon in the Southern Counties final of the RFU Intermediate Cup, with the winners just two games away from a showpiece fixture at the home of English rugby.

Witney will bid to bounce back from losing their 100 per cent Southern Counties North record with a 10-5 reverse at Reading last weekend.

But they will be tested by a side who beat last weekend’s opponents 42-14 in January’s

semi-finals.

Injury and unavailability means head coach Adam Copperwheat rings the changes, with just six players who featured against Reading in the starting line-up tomorrow.

The winners face the team who triumphs in the South West Counties final for a place in the last four of the national competition.
