GROVE must wait to see whether they have been awarded a win over Swindon College Old Boys after their Southern Counties South clash was abandoned.

The visitors were 36-3 up when the opposition scrum half suffered a neck injury after 56 minutes, but he was later able to walk off.

Both sides agreed the result should stand and are now waiting for confirmation from the league.

Luke Matthews had scored a hat-trick and Guy Nicholl crossed twice, with Ollie Nichol adding a penalty and four conversions.

Witney held on to beat Stow-on-the-Wold 17-10 and stay on track for the Southern Counties North title.

The hosts were 7-0 up at the break as James Ingham converted Freddie Roberts’s try.

But two Wayne Caffekey tries, Matt Clarke converting one, put the visitors 12-7 up.

Ingham kicked a penalty, before Jordan Pratt crossed for Witney.

Elsewhere, Bicester lost 39-12 at Reading.

The hosts were 27-0 up at half-time, Rob Cunningham scoring a hat-trick of tries, while Eji Erhirhoe and Callum Cload went over, Alex Dorliac converting.

Joey Sibun’s score, converted by Josh Wordsworth, got Bicester on the board after the restart, before Dorliac converted his own try to make it 34-7.

Chris Grieg-Jenkins crossed for Reading, before Will Anns went over for Bicester.

Didcot were thrashed 85-0 at High Wycombe, while Wallingford lost 26-13 at home to Shipston-on-Stour.

In the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier, Chipping Norton won 52-0 at Hungerford.

Oxford lost 15-12 at home to Tadley, Abingdon were beaten 37-10 at Milton Keynes and Wheatley went down 57-0 at Slough.
