CITY of Oxford College’s link to Wasps is bearing fruit – with three players selected for England under 18 training camps during half term.

Greg Fisilau was part of a two-day camp at Bisham Abbey, while Ep Rokodrava and Archie McArthur were selected in the South Squad for a development camp in Bristol.

Only three other schools or colleges in the country had as many representatives in the squads

The trio are all part of the Wasps ACE development player partnership rugby programme, which was introduced at City of Oxford last year.

It gives players a mixture of rugby training while they study for academic qualifications.

Gareth Harris, the college’s head of rugby and an academy coach at Wasps, said: “It’s great to see that Archie, Ep and Greg have been rewarded for all the hard work that they’ve put in over the last 12 months.”

Fisilau said: “The sessions were a step up in terms of the intensity and skill level.

“It provided a great learning opportunity alongside other very talented players.

“And of course, the food was excellent as well.”
