WILLIAM Reddy, head lad to Blewbury trainer Eve Johnson Houghton, has made the shortlist for the 2018 Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London on February 19.
Reddy, who has worked for the Johnson Houghton family at Woodway for 48 years, is in the final ten for the dedication to racing award.
Meanwhile, Johnson Houghton was delighted to see Goring notch his third win this year with a decisive victory at Lingfield.
The five-year-old scooted clear in the final furlong under Charlie Bishop to take a mile handicap by two lengths from Easy Tiger.
Johnson Houghton said: “I’m thrilled with him as he’s such a bonny horse who travels well and tries hard.
“We stepped him back up to a mile today and I think that just helped him travel that bit better.
“I think there might be another race for him back at Lingfield at the end of the month, but I’ll get him home and have a proper look at the programme book.”
East Ilsley trainer Hughie Morrison’s horses are always worth noting in National Hunt Flat Races, and Apres Le Deluge (7-1) added to his tally in that sphere when making a winning debut at Hereford.
Andrew Tinkler was on board as the three-year-old gelding recorded a smooth three-and-three-quarter lengths verdict over Topofthecotswolds in a two-mile contest.
