OXFORD Cheetahs have announced their first two riders for next week’s one-off clash against the Isle of Wight.
Connor Coles and Ryan-Terry Daley will compete for the visitors at the Smallbrook Stadium in Ryde on August 1.
Coles rides for Edinburgh in the Championship and Stoke in the National League, but has a link to the Cheetahs.
He is the son of Michael Coles, whose 25-year speedway career included a spell at Oxford in the mid-1990s.
Connor, who will line up as a heat leader, said: “To be able to ride in the same side as one that my dad rode in has always been an honour and I am extremely proud to be a Cheetah for the night.”
Terry-Daley has been competing in the National League for seven years and will be a second-string rider for Cheetahs.
