A NEW £5,000 studio is giving a voice to the community in East Hendred.

StudyVoxFM, an online radio station, has turned one of its four studios into a community hub where anyone can broadcast a show to the community.

Creative director Kevin Martin, 53, said the new facility had been launched so that people from the area could get involved.

He said: “We’ve created a community hub called The Ridgeway Hub and this will allow people from the community to come and broadcast whatever they want.”

He said he hoped things like local development debates might happen through the use of the radio, but said its use did not just have to be about issues. He said: “If someone wants to do a rock show or a dubstep show, they can do that.”

The Ridgeway Hub is located in The Old Estate Yard, East Hendred.
