Caroline Walls, 37, of Carter Close, Risinghurst, Oxford, admitted stealing food from Waitrose in Abingdon, clothing worth £40 from New Look in Witney, toiletries worth £600 from Debenhams in Witney and clothes worth £79.97 from H&M in Witney, all on October 4. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a suspended prison sentence. Given a nine-month prison sentence.

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

Martin Smith, 51, of Marsh Lane, Old Marston, Oxford, admitted speeding on Woodstock Road, in Yarnton, near Kidlington, on November 30 last year, by driving at a speed in excess of the 30mph speed limit. Fined £265 and told to pay a £27 victims’ surcharge and £80 costs. Given four points on driving licence.

Andrew Hathaway, 61, of Field Avenue, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, convicted of failing to give information as to the identity of a driver when required between February 6 and March 6. Fined £60 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £80 costs.

Darren Jaques, 34, of Curtis Close, Bicester, admitted possessing an offensive weapon, a metal chair leg, in a public place in Bicester on September 22. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months with a 12-month supervision requirement and 100 hours of unpaid work. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Kieran Kepke, 21, of Station Approach, Banbury, admitted making off without payment on June 4 in Banbury. Told to pay £47.16 compensation.

Benjamin Phipps, 24, of South Side, Steeple Aston, Bicester, admitted driving without due care and attention in Woodstock Road, Kidlington, on April 21. Fined £400 and told to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given six points on driving licence.

Dale Sallis, 20, of Jubilee Court, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Jubilee Court, Banbury. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Sarah Boyland, 33, of Lanchester Drive, Banbury, admitted stealing, including by finding, a mobile phone in Caernarvon Way, Banbury, on May 25. Fined £90 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Alan Bryant, 27, of Swinford Farm, Swinford, near Witney, admitted drink driving in Oxford Road on October 20. Had 97 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 24-month driving ban and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Community order made with 100 hours of unpaid work.

Zac Blackman, 21, of Croxford Gardens, Kidlington, Oxford, admitted causing criminal damage worth £2,617.57 to a Citroen C3 in Oxford Road, Kidlington, on June 2. Community order made with 150 hours of unpaid work. Told to pay £2,473.57 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Jonathan Egly, 23, of Stone Hill, Bloxham, near Banbury, admitted possessing cocaine, a Class A drug, in Banbury on October 20. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Ibrar Hussain, 22 of Sandford Green, Banbury, admitted driving without due care and attention and driving without insurance on April 24 in Lower Cherwell Street, Banbury. Fined £210 and told to pay £300 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given six points on driving licence.

Martin Preedy, 45, of Mayfield Road, Banbury, admitted not protecting three puppies and a dog from pain, suffering and disease by failing to investigate and address the causes of their weight loss and poor body condition between October 24 and December 12 last year. Also admitted causing unnecessary pain and suffering to a male puppy, a protected animal, between November 14 and December 12 last year, by failing to investigate and address the causes of its weight loss and poor body condition, and between November 7 and December 12 last year, by failing to provide adequate and necessary veterinary care and attention to a fracture in the femur of its hind left leg. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months with 220 hours of unpaid work and 12-month supervision requirement. Disqualified from having custody of a dog for a period of three years and told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £500 costs.

David French, 29, of Oxford Road, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in High Street, Banbury, on October 23. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Adam Griffin, 29, of Meadow End, Fulbrook, near Burford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Milton-under-Wychwood on August 27. Fined £120 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Martin Lazenby, 47, of no fixed address, admitted stealing a bottle of wine worth £8.49 from Tesco in St Aldate’s, Oxford, on November 5. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Brandon Mcelvaine, 22, of Freemans Road, Bodicote, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Middleton Road, Banbury, on October 23. fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.

Samantha McKinnon, 43, of Britannia Road, Banbury, admitted stealing coffee and bathroom products worth £17.32 from Wilkinsons in Bridge Street, Banbury. Given a two-year conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Shelley Nichol, 40, of Beaufort Close, Didcot, admitted speeding on Abingdon Road on April 21 and on Church Street, Sutton Courtenay, on July 25. Drove at a speed exceeding the 30mph speed limit on both roads. Fined £480 and told to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £130 costs. Given a six-month driving ban.

Richard O’Rourke, 41, of Rotary Way, Banbury, admitted stealing an iron worth £36 from Wilkinsons in Banbury on September 27. Also admitted committing a further offence during the period of a suspended sentence order made on July 1 by Oxford Magistrates’ Court for theft. Given 56-day prison sentence.

Martins Rudzidis, 42, of Harlech Close, Banbury, admitted stealing four cans of cider worth £3.59 from Marks & Spencer on October 23. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
