TEENAGER Jake Soden went out to use the skate park in Chalgrove with friends yesterday.
And he ended up taking in the festivities of the village festival.
The 16-year-old said he was interested to find classic cars on display.
He said: “It was good. We were just riding around on our bikes but it was cool to see some of the cars they had there.
“Chalgrove is only somewhere I’ve recently started coming but we have ended up staying there all day.”
- Children prepare to dance around the Maypole
Chalgrove residents held the annual event from 11am to 5pm to celebrate the long weekend.
The theme this year was ‘Our Village and the Countryside’, with a children’s fancy dress competition based around bonnets and scarecrows.
Events included birds of prey displays, balloon modelling, maypole dancing and a 10km run.
