Teenage table tennis coach Simon Price has been named as Oxford’s fourth baton bearer, to carry the Queen’s Baton ahead of the XX Commonwealth Games.
The 18-year-old, who lives near Abingdon, was revealed to be the final Batonbearer by the city council yesterday.
Simon will carry the baton at the Cutteslowe Summer Festival in Sunnymead Park in North Oxford, on Friday, June 6, along with Juliet Field, Ian Warland and Johnny Pemberton.
The games in Glasgow start in July.
