HUNDREDS of people attended Remembrance services which took place across Oxfordshire on Sunday (November 13) to commemorate the contribution of the Armed Forces and their families from Britain and the Commonwealth.
The day commemorated and remembered those who fought in the first and second World Wars as well as later conflicts and people across the country traditionally wear a poppy.
In Abingdon, people came together for a Service in St Helen’s Church before making their way to the War Memorial to lay wreaths.

In Didcot, a Remembrance Day parade and service took place throughout the town.
In Wallingford, a Remembrance service and parade took place at the War Memorial. There was a parage with marching groups and a fly past in the Market Place.
A parade was also held in Wantage with several different groups marching.
