Linden Homes has supported Ladygrove Park Primary School in Didcot in hosting its outdoor Christmas Market.

The housebuilder donated £250 towards the festive fundraiser. The money was used towards the cost of organising the event, including the cost of raffle tickets and gifts from Santa.

The event, held on December 2, was organised by the Parents at Ladygrove School (PALS) team with the aim of raising funds to create a peaceful outdoor area for children to use during breaktime, as well as purchase 30 new laptops.

Jenny Cole, from PALS, said: “The children at the school really enjoyed themselves.

"They were able to make reindeer food to put out on Christmas Eve and to see Santa in his grotto where they received a gift.

"We are really grateful to Linden Homes and our other sponsors as they allowed us to make the fair more festive and special for the local community.”

Among the attractions were 'name the elf' and 'guess the weight of the cake' contests, and a grotto where children received gifts from Santa.

Alix Laflin, marketing manager for Vistry Thames Valley, said: “This time of year is all about bringing people together, which is what the school’s Christmas Market has done, and it’s great that it’s also helped raise money which will be used to help enhance the children’s experience of school all year long.”

Linden Homes is currently constructing 76 new homes at Didcot Grove, as well as providing public open space and a children’s play area.
