Shoplifters were detained in Abingdon yesterday after town shops and police rallied to catch them.
Thames Valley Police’s South Oxon and Vale of White Horse team said that shoplifting had been reported via the Storenet Radio.
The suspects were spotted by a different store (than the one submitting the report) and relayed this information to the Abingdon town centre PSCOs Morley and Blood.

The PCSOs identified and detained the suspects and waited for Incident Crime Response to arrive at their location.
Via X (formerly Twitter), police praised the “good partnership work” of all town shops involved in securing the suspects’ apprehension.
