£1m station facelift complete

A plaque was unveiled this week to mark the completion of £1m of improvement work at Radley railway station.

Oxfordshire County Council, Network Rail and train operator First Great Western have worked on the project, which has seen a new footbridge built, along with a new approach road, car and cycle parking improvements, waiting shelters and better lighting.

The ceremony was performed by First Great Western's Thames Valley regional manager Richard Rowland and the council's cabinet member for transport, Ian Hudspeth, watched by members of the Friends of Radley Station.
