THEATRE-goers are being invited to enjoy a snapshot of summer in song and verse.
The invitation comes from members of The Domino Players who will be taking their seasonal show, A Celebration of Summer in Song, Verse & Worse, to three venues in the Wantage area next month.
With a show ranging from poetry and prose, music and song to sketches and William Shakespeare, they start their short tour at Lains Barn, Ardington, on Monday, July 4, and the following evening perform at the new venue of the Shush nightclub in the former Regent cinema in Newbury Street, Wantage. The Players’ final date sees them visit Snells Hall, East Hendred, on Friday, July 8.
Tickets for the shows, all starting at 7.30pm, cost £7 for adults, £6 concessions, and can be bought on the door or in advance on the Players’ telephone number 01235 868396, or from the Vale and Downland Museum, Church Street, Wantage, on 01235 771447. They can also be reserved on the Players’ website at: www.dominoplayers.co.uk (The Shush nightclub venue has no disabled access).
