‘MUD’ Morganfield, far right, the eldest son of legendary blues musician Muddy Waters, is headlining this year’s Wallingford Blues and Beer Festival.
The festival takes place on Friday and Saturday, June 1 and 2, at the Regal Centre in St Martin’s Street.
Headlining Friday evening, The Mud Morganfield Band will play a mix of classic Muddy Waters’ songs and original numbers.
Other acts include Earl Green, one of the UK’s premier blues vocalists, the Riverside Blues Band and 24 Pesos, right.
Festival spokesman Norman Whelan said: “A wide range of beers is available throughout the festival with some new brews and special Jubilee beers “But, most importantly, we would like you to remember this is a charity festival, run entirely by volunteers, so any money you spend goes straight to supporting live music and youth projects in Wallingford and the surrounding areas.
“This year, we are supporting The Music Club, a local club providing young people with disabilities with the opportunity to make and appreciate music. We are also supporting Wallingford Rowing Club.”
