Some 300 residents have signed a petition calling for a housing estate plan in Drayton Road to be challenged.
Vale of White Horse District Council refused Hallam Land Management’s application to build 160 homes east of Drayton Road in January, but the developer was granted permission on appeal earlier this month.
On Friday, four residents delivered the petition to Vale leader Matthew Barber calling on the council to take the decision to a judicial inquiry.
Mr Barber said he would talk to the council’s lawyer about it.
