A PUB manager will trek through the Himalayas for Macmillan Cancer Support, despite suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome.
Kat Gower and her partner Tony Kear-Smith have already raised £14,000 for the charity in the last two years.
The managers of The Bell in Crowmarsh, near Wallingford, have tackled Jordan’s desert and will take on their biggest challenge in March by hiking an average of 10km a day on foot in Nepal at altitudes of up to 3,000m above sea level.

Miss Gower, 29, said: “We went to Jordan in October 2013 and you either love it or you hate it. You have no shower or toilets. It’s bare essentials, but we loved it.”
And she refuses to give up after being diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, also known as post-viral ME, in May last year.
She said: “I suffer from memory loss and can’t get out of bed some days, but the fundraising motivates me.”
The pair face a 100km trek in Nepal and Miss Gower said: “I will hopefully do about 80 per cent.”
