A MAN accused of murdering his 11-week-old baby has this morning been remanded in custody.
Jordon Saxton, 21, spoke only to confirm his name when he appeared at Banbury Magistrates Court a few minutes.
Saxton faces one charge of murdering his son Jayden in November.
The family lived in Untons Place in Faringdon at the time. Jayden was initially taken to the Great Western Hospital but was later transferred to the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, where he died.
A police spokeswoman said a post mortem examination showed the cause of Jayden's death was head injuries.
Saxton, whose address is now Wingate Close in Oxford, was remanded in custody until Friday, when he will appear at Oxford Crown Court for a preliminary hearing.
