A RESIDENTS' planning charter for Wantage will go before a public examination this morning.
The Wantage Neighbourhood Plan will be scrutinised by a Government planning inspector to see if it is sound.
The session at the Beacon in Wantage begins at 10am and the plan steering group have encouraged residents to come along.
If it is adopted, the plan – which recommends extending the town's retail centre southwards and preserving green spaces – will become a legal part of the district's planning procedure and developers will have to demonstrate they have taken it into account.
