Former members of 1861 (Wantage) Squadron Air Training Corps want to reunite with other old boys to take a flight down memory lane.

Derek Horton-Rackstraw BEM, a retired RAF flight lieutenant who now lives in Grove, was the squadron's Commanding Officer at the time this picture was taken.

The photograph shows an awards parade in 1977 at the Wantage squadron headquarters.

Mr Horton-Rackstraw said: "I was contacted about three years ago by one of the old cadets who told me a few of them were meeting up every three months and asked if I would like to go along.

"I've been meeting some of the old lads for the last three years now.

"One of them, Ade North, who now lives in Uffington, showed me this picture and we were all talking about having the photo taken, and we got this idea to try and get as many of them back together as possible."

Mr Horton-Rackstraw and Mr North have already got in touch with about 11 former cadets but are now trying to find the rest.

If you recognise anyone in this photo or if you are one of the cadets, email Mr North on ade@starsoundexpress.co.uk or call him on 01793 782089.
